Welcome Spring
Woopee! I’m finally out of the winter blues as it is now spring and I’m sooo excited. Although it’s nice to curl up and stay warm inside while it’s cold outside I do much prefer the hot weather. Saying that, we haven’t had very nice weather so far. We’re two days in to spring and I haven’t even seen the sun but I’m sure it will come soon and there are so many things I’m looking forward to doing.
Obviously with the (hopefully) warmer weather it means I might get outside more. During the colder months everyone tends to stay cooped up in the warmth of their home when there’s so much we could be doing outside. The rain makes it harder to do some things so hopefully if the weather improves we can all get outside and enjoy the sunshine again. Also I just love breathing in the spring air. It’s so fresh and smells amazing with all the new flowers blooming.
I am also quite excited about the brighter mornings. I hate waking up when it’s still dark outside, it just gives me no motivation to get up and get things done. Also my mum and I have been talking about getting out and walking in the mornings like we used to so we might start that now that we’ll actually be able to see where we’re going.
There are a few activities I’ve been really wanting to do but the weather just hasn’t been nice enough so hopefully they might happen this spring. It sounds a bit random but I’ve been really looking forward to going to a park and having a picnic. I don’t know why, it just seems so relaxing and a fun thing to prepare for with some friends. There’s also one other thing I’ve imagined doing for a while. I imagine myself sitting around an open fire at night with some friends, all of us wrapped in blankets as we toast marshmallows. Once again slightly random but it’s just something I really want to do. I planned to do it with my friends last holidays but we thought it would be a bit too cold outside so maybe spring is the time to do it.
I don’t know why but this year I am very excited for spring. I love the warmer weather and although it isn’t here just yet I’m sure it’s coming. The sun being out just puts me in such a good mood and I’m looking forward to that. Spring also means summer is just around the owner and that’s something I know many people are excited for.
Also today in Australia it is Father’s Day so happy Father’s Day to all the dads reading, especially Dad, Grampy and Grandpa.
