Building my future home
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!! Yay, it’s finally Christmas and this means we’re all attending the usual Christmas parties. I love going to Christmas parties as it always gets me into the Christmas spirit and makes me feel very festive.
Last night I had a Christmas party with a few families and with my friends we decided to build a gingerbread house that we had. I honestly think building a gingerbread house is one of my favourite things to do at Christmas time. It’s so much fun to do with friends and it’s edible so that makes it even better!
I have to say I might not be the best at building the actual structure as my friends would tell you. Last night I really wasn’t much help at all so I can’t take any credit for this house. We did have a bit of trouble getting the house to stand (quick tip: use toothpicks like we did.) As everyone was struggling to build the house I was definitely the one sitting back just eating the lollies as I laughed at them struggle.
I did however give a little assistance when we got to the decorating stage. The only difficulty whilst decorating was stopping our younger brothers from eating all the lollies we had left.
I think it looked alright in the end though. What do you think, what score would we get from you out of 10?
I know this post is a little random but I wanted to do something Christmasy, how could I not with just 2 days left until Christmas Day!! Also making the gingerbread house last night was soo much fun and I think everyone should build a gingerbread house next Christmas. Put some Christmas tunes on and rock out to some Mariah Carey and Hi-5 like we did.
Merry Christmas everyone!!! Hope you all have a great Christmas!!
