Lookback On 2018

I CAN NOT believe that it is almost 2019!! This year has gone by soo fast and soo much has happened for me. It was a year filled with many physio appointments, checkups, theatre shows, trips away and much much more. It was definitley a big year so here is a lookback on the most significant things that have happened in the last 12 months.

Obviously one of the biggest things that I experienced this year was my surgery. It was a long journey with many highs and lows but now its basically over. I’m through most of my recovery with the only thing still left to get back to being contact sport. At times my surgey journey was quite hard but I was lucky that I had a very positive, straight forward surgery. Having surgey definitely challenged me as it would for anyone, but I am glad I had the surgery. I obviously now have a pretty straight back and I am looking forward to getting back to everything I love next year. I have many posts you can check out if you want to read more about my surgery like this one written straight after surgery https://justanothercurveball.com/i-am-titanium/.

Another event which was obviously quite significant for me was my recent trip to China. Like my surgery I won’t go into detail about the trip as I wrote this post all about what I did there https://justanothercurveball.com/the-most-amazing-5-weeks-away/. It was such an incredible experience which I enjoyed every minute of. It was a once in a life time opportunity which I will cherrish forever. The teachers always say that China changes you and although I’m not too sure about that I will say that I think it’s definitley made me more grateful for what I have.

This year was crazy filled with many amazing moments. I made many new friends who made this year even better for me. I also had a great time with my family who helped me so much through all the tough times this year. Thank you all soo much for supporting me this year and bring on 2019!!!
