Winter Sunday Night Routine

So I’m a bit late to this but it is well and truly winter now, in fact almost the end of winter but it is still quite chilly. I’m definitely much more of a summer gal and love the nice weather it brings. However, there is one part of the cold weather that I love. If you know me well, you’ll know that I love a long, hot bath to relax and prepare me for the school week ahead. It’s always amazing on a cold, winters night which is why I was really annoyed when I couldn’t have one after the surgery, but now I got the ok a while ago and I’ve had many, many baths in the past few months.

So I did want to just talk about baths the whole time but I thought that may be a bit boring so instead here’s my typical relaxed Sunday night routine! 🙂

Usually after a long Sunday of doing most likely nothing (haha oops) it eventually gets to the time of day where I start to wind down for the evening. First, before I start anything else I will post my weekly blog post [haha don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already;)] Once that’s done I’ll do the usual evening activities- watch TV, eat dinner (in winter usually a yummy roast.)

After I’ve eaten, it comes to my favourite time of the evening. BATH TIME!! The fun times comes with a difficult decision- what products do I use? Do I use bubbles, a bath bomb, bath salts, bath milk?! There’s so much to choose from! Recently I’ve been loving Lush’s magic wand, you hold it under the running water and it creates amazing bubbles while colouring the water in the bath. It lasts sooo long, I got one last Christmas and I’ve only just run out so I’ll definitely be trying to get a new one.

I’ll light a candle and once the bath is filled up I get in and enjoy.

Usually while I’m in the bath I’ll either read, listen to music or watch some youtube or Netflix- sometimes with a face mask on.

Quite a while later I’ll finally get out of the bath, do my usual skincare, blow out the candles, put my pjs on and head to bed.

I know this post is quite different from my usual posts and not about my scoliosis at all. I’ve been thinking I can’t post about my back forever, there’s only so much I can talk about. I do want to continue my blog long into the future though so why not start posting about the things I love (haha like baths.) Don’t worry, if you’re here for the scoliosis content there will still be many many back related posts too, just with a little more Bethan chucked in there every now and then 😉 Also leave a comment if there’s anything specific you would like me to write about.
